Company of Heroes 3 is a WW2 Strategy video game by Relic Entertainment that reaches beyond the traditional Real Time Strategy genre by offering a more considered, strategic gameplay experience, and authentic storytelling. The game takes its award-winning tactical combat into a brand-new theater brimming with new gameplay experiences and untold stories.
As the sole marketing artist, my role encompassed not only devising a production pipeline for executing the work but also encompassed capturing, editing, and refining all marketing screenshots for the game.
The objective in crafting these screenshots was to highlight the game's new theaters and features, presenting a visual narrative that drives interest and attracts potential players. Each screenshot tells a different story and was carefully planned, composed, captured and polished in post-production. Overcoming the constraints of in-game capture tools posed a particular challenge, requiring the development of new processes to achieve high quality results. It was important to ensure that the final assets were not only visually engaging, but also stayed true to the game's graphic capabilities, as they served as pivotal materials for numerous press announcements and marketing campaigns.
